Paul was educated at St. Dunstan's College and City of London Polytechnic, where he obtained a Degree in Maritime Studies with distinction, majoring in law and economics. Served at sea as a Navigating Officer for 9 years mainly with BP Tanker Co. Paul joined Bilbrough in 1976. Served in the Hong Kong office from 1978 to 1980. Appointed a Director in 1987. Became Chief Executive of A Bilbrough & Co Ltd in 2002.Member of various International Group of P&I Clubs’ specialist Sub-Committees and Working Groups.
Having read Law and Politics at University, Ian joined Bilbrough in 1976 after qualifying as a Barrister. He served in the Hong Kong office from 1979 to 1982 and again from 1984 to 1994, being appointed a Director in 1987. He has responsibility for the supervision of FD&D and P&I claims and represents the Association on the International Group’s Pollution, Ships’ Standards and Occupational Diseases sub-committees and the BIMCO and UK Chamber of Shipping Documentary Committees.
Educated at Aldenham School and St. Luke's College, Exeter. Mike joined Bilbrough in 1978. After an initial period in claims handling, transferred to the Underwriting Department where he initially dealt with the Far East and the USA but now has overall underwriting responsibility for the Club's world-wide Membership. Appointed a Director in 1992.
Anthony joined Bilbrough in 1988 after graduating in Law. Left to join a major PLC in 1990 and qualified as a Chartered Secretary before returning to Bilbrough as Company Secretary in 1993, being appointed Associate Director in 1998 and Director in 2000. He has wide-ranging responsibilities, including corporate administration, personnel, IT and regulatory matters. Member of the International Group's Regulatory Affairs, Capital Adequacy and FMC sub-committees.
Ian joined Bilbrough in 1991. A qualified Barrister, Ian was posted to the Greek Office in 1995, where he was appointed Manager in June 1997. He returned to the London Office in August 2000. Appointed a Director in 2003, he remains involved with the supervision of P&I and FD&D claims for Greek, German and US based members. Represents the Association on the International Group’s Bills of Lading, Compulsory Insurance and Claims Co-operation sub-committees. Appointed Deputy Chief Executive in 2008.
Iain qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 with PricewaterhouseCoopers and, after a three year spell working in Bermuda’s insurance and reinsurance industry, joined Bilbrough as Assistant Finance Director in July 2002. In July 2006 Iain was appointed Associate Director of Finance, and is responsible for all accounting, treasury, investment and Club reinsurance matters, as well as working in tandem with Anthony Jones on regulatory matters. Appointed a Director in 2008.
Steve joined Bilbrough in 1981, served in the Greek office from 1989 to 1993, and was appointed Associate Director in 1998. Manages major P&I claims and supervises the claims team, particularly those handling P&I and FD&D matters for the Greek membership. Appointed a Director in 2008.
